AMADO v1.0 (90): match scrambled squares to a random pattern in the fastest
possible time. Squares change colour when others are moved over. Various

ARGH! v3.0 (89):three "exquisitely difficult" sliding block puzzles. Save/

BLOCKOUT (89): play PC or 1-3 human players. Each player has coloured/
patterned blocks. Get similar blocks adjacent to each other and/or prevent

DOMINATION (90): board game where one player trys to own all the pieces. More
than one piece is allowed per square, this leads to chain reactions of colour

specify size), a 3D view is shown from the inside. Try to escape, use compass

AMAZING (91): two part maze game. Guide piece through a normal maze. Then
through another, different "blind" maze where you can only see walls once
piece has moved past. Work against the clock. Sound on/off. Print to solve on

AMAZE (87): generates random mazes (you specify 2-159 paths in width) and

AMAZE (89): small version of a crazy, colourful maze game called "Insanity"
(disk G086). Work out puzzles, avoid enemies & get out! 6+; 30K; £0; CGA. ***
TREASURE HUNT (1986): another rather nice 3D maze game. Collect treasures on
each floor. Press key to show map with/out footprints. 7+; 32K; $0; CGA; ****

CUBER v1.0 (90): catch cubes as they fall and place them in proper column so
that colours match. Quite difficult but addictive when you've got the hang of

UNGARIA (92): place multicoloured dominoes on the board so adjacent edges
match in colour. Rotate or mirror them if it helps. English or Portugese. 3
board sizes, various choices. Mouse/Keys. 8+; 50K; $10; EGA. ****
CHAIN REACTION (90): board game for 1/2 players, try and takeover the board.
Mouse or keys. 9+; 110K; £5.00; EGA. ****
G094: EGA LOGIC GAMES (menued) - four puzzlers for all ages. 7-ADULT. ****

SUPERMAXIT v1.10 (1990) maxit is played on a number grid ; you move
horizontally and the computer moves vertically; each tries to get the highest
number in a row and to leave the other "stranded". Sounds simple but it's an
addictive, thought provoking game. This is "super" maxit with negative
numbers and some variations on the traditional board size/shape (or make your
own). Excellent graphics. Many options. 8+; 85K; $15 (update); EGA. *****
BOXES (91) remember that game you played at school, joining up dots on a
piece of paper? Here's an excellent computer version with lots of options
such as grid size, timed/untimed game, play computer or another player. Sound
on/off. Very good graphics for such a simple game. Also supports CGA but

KALAHA (90) African "bean game" played against computer. Each player has 7
bowls, six contain beans. Try and get as many as possible in the 7th bowl.
Six levels, undo, alter colours, mouse support. 8+; 53K; $10; EGA. ****
LEONG v1.1 (90) move 50 pieces across a board trying to get to the goal. Not
easy as there are hidden pitfalls which appear in different spots each time

G251: RESCUE ROVER v2.0 (93) GAMERS EDGE

An arcade/puzzle game, rescue Rover from robots; rush around deflecting
lasers etc. 10 increasingly exasperating levels. Joystick option. 8-ADULT;

Jigsaw puzzle for EGA/VGA, also supports CGA pictures (PCX) although none are
provided on disk. 3 pictures, all are scanned photos and are quite difficult
even at the easy level (25 pieces). Levels 2 & 3 50/100 pieces. Mouse/keys,
pieces actually move with mouse so you can see if it looks OK, before
"clicking" into place (helpful for younger kids). Lots of help and hints.

Brilliant jigsaw, huge skill range (4-1400 pieces). This latest update comes
with 6 PUZ pictures including photographic images, fun cartoons and a really
superb T.Rex. Lots of optional help - move piece to correct place, fill place
with correct piece, finish identical pieces (bits of blue sky etc) when rest
is complete, display small finished picture in corner (PUZ pictures only).
Optional beep if piece is correct. Grid on/off. Will display PCX files (EGA
type only ie.350x640x16), also GIF files (needs utility). Save unfinished

type game where you must line up 3 or more squares of same colour. Super
